We will be exhibiting in Booth 6673, so be sure and stop by to say hi. Michael and I will only be in the booth during the last three hours of the show each day, so if you'd like to see us personally, that's the time to show up. We'll be walking the show floor and attending meetings during the rest of the time (so we'll be able to provide those of you who couldn't attend with a firsthand account of new products, new companies, etc.) We have some exciting additions we'll be debuting at HIA, which we'll officially announce in the next issue of this ezine. For those of you attending, our entire booth concept will reflect this new element - in other words, don't look for our logo to be prominently displayed. (It won't be pink, either!) Just visit Booth 6673 and you'll be the first to see what I'm talking about! We will be teaching our sold-out seminar, "Scrapbook U Diversity," at HIA on February 7. Another big announcement is the new area of our web site dedicated to International Scrapbooking Industry Day, the new "holiday" we have created to help promote the industry around the world. You can learn more below, in Recommended Resources. If you're a new subscriber, you might be wondering why certain words in this ezine are separated with asterisks. It's because the appearance of certain words will trigger some email providers to not deliver the message. If you find that you're not receiving this ezine on a regular monthly schedule, it might mean your email provider is rejecting it. Remember that you can always read each issue online here. Thanks so much for being a part of Fun Facts Publishing! I hope you
enjoy this issue, and please feel free to stay in touch with whatever
comments or questions you may have! Have a fabulous month! This tip comes to us from Marietta of Caren's Crafts and Scrap-N-File Products: In an effort to help scrapbook store owners help the scrappers organize
their supplies, oftentimes people find themselves with too much of some
things, such as outdated paper and supplies (such as decorative scissors).
In my class handouts, I always provide a current list of about 3-5
charities or individuals who could use these supplies. It helps the
scrapbooker feel good about giving the things they will never use to
someone who will use them, and the recipients are always more than
grateful. This idea can be used by retailers, as well as instructors and direct sales consultants. You can give the scrapbookers the charity information directly, or you can also schedule a "Donation Day," when they can drop off the items at your location. You might even want to give them an incentive (a coupon or free gift). Don't forget to remind them that the donation can be a tax write-off! ================================================== "Scrapbook Industry News Platinum Edition" is a subscription-only monthly publication that features tons of articles, tips, insider information, regular features, and much more, to help you and your business achieve even more success! We have launched a new area of our web site dedicated to International Scrapbooking Industry Day, the new "holiday" we have created to help promote the industry around the world. This area of the site explains what this day is all about, and includes an FAQ section, as well as a list of Resources. You can find sample press releases and fact sheets that are free for you to use to promote your own business, as well as ideas and recommendations. There is also an area in which you can send your own information about your plans for this day. This will provide a good place for the media to locate local story leads. Because this day is listed in Chase's Events, a directory that many members of the media refer to, they will come to this web site looking for information. Hopefully they will locate your business while they're visiting!
