2.  News and Updates

Hello and a warm welcome to all new subscribers!

We are back from MemoryTrends 2003. Another fantastic show! We taught two sold-out seminars to 100 participants each. Thank you to those of you who attended! And because we were not exhibiting, we had a chance to walk the show floor and get a look at all the great new companies and products!

This will be the last ezine before we head to Orlando for the Memories Expo show. We'll be teaching three full days of seminars: "Scrapbook Business University" and "Make Money Making Scrapbooks For Others, Day 1 and Day 2."  Registration has ended, but you can still show up on-site to register. Please note these will be our last seminars for 2003.

Our three new books are in stock and shipping. Everyone who placed a pre-order should have received their package by now. If you haven't, please email us to let us know and we will send out a new package!

Don't forget to check out our "Scrapbooking In The News"  article, where we have added even more links to places where the media has written about or mentioned scrapbooking. This information is perfect for you to use in your business plans, in your press release/media kit (to prove that other media have recognized this industry), or just to read for fun!

If you're a new subscriber, you might be wondering why certain words in this ezine are separated with asterisks. It's because the appearance of certain words will trigger some email providers to not deliver the message. If you find that you're not receiving this ezine on a regular monthly schedule, it might mean your email provider is rejecting it. Remember that you can always read each issue online here.

Thanks so much for being a part of Fun Facts Publishing! I hope you enjoy this issue, and please feel free to stay in touch with whatever comments or questions you may have! Have a fabulous month!

3. Tip Of The Week: Using a Trading Bin For Paper

This tip comes to us from Tammy Hull of A Bit of Scrapbooking:

In my store we carry a lot of paper and always end up with damaged paper and "ones" ( the last paper of the pile). We also sell many books that have variety paper in them. After long thought I developed a trading bin! Yup! Customers come in and buy from the bin that we discount .20 off the regular price of paper, or they can trade paper from packs they dislike - paper for paper. I find this is a great draw as customers come in often to check the trading bin! No more one's and no more damaged. We simply swipethe back with a pen to mark it and go from there. Hope this isa tip others could use. I know it has put an end to my "What do I do with this?"

==================================================
Thanks, Tammy!

8.   Tip of The Week 2: Put Your "Uniform" On!

This tip comes to us from Edie Malin, a Scrap In a Snap consultant in Pennsylvania:

Wear logo wear! Get your logo printed up on iron on sheets and make some T's--or have them professionally embroidered for a more polished look. Then wear it.

Studies have shown that children in uniform stick to their studies better than those in regular street clothes. I find this works with my logo wear. When I'm in 'uniform' I know I'm in business mode. I promote myself much more positively and I'm advertising everywhere I go with minimal cost.'

=================================================
Thanks, Edie!
