Event Organizers' Donation Requests

"For our last crop event, Scrapworks c/o Rozanne, sent us some awesome paper, embellishments and an idea book.  The ladies went crazy and we all appreciated the materials.  It was like Christmas, and opening a gift.  Thank you!" - Lori Walser, Take Care Scrapbooking & Co.

"This is a great idea, you guys! I'm so happy to be a part of this network - all made possible by Fun Facts! Thanks so much for your continued services and dedication to the scrapbooking industry!" - Sarah Pulling, Cropping Thyme Retreats

"Thank you for adding Event Organizer Donation Requests to your classifieds listing. I think this is a wonderful service and I'm thrilled that you're encouraging scrapbook companies to use events as a means of promoting their product." - Molly Quach, JEM Custom Creations

Attention Crop, Retreat, Expo, and other Event Organizers:

In addition to sending personal requests for donations to manufacturers, send them here too! We'll post them for free, and provide you with a way to connect with many manufacturers at once.

Attention Manufacturers, Large and Small:

Please check this space frequently if you're interested in donating products as part of your marketing plan. It can be a fairly low-cost way of getting your product into consumers' hands - just be sure you are able to promote your business through the use of flyers/brochures, contact listings, etc.

You can read more about using this as a marketing tool in this free article.

Organizers, please list your request, location, dates, and contact information, as well as how many participants you are expecting and what the manufacturer can expect from donating (advertising, distribution of flyers/catalogs, etc.) Send them to this email address: classified@funfactspublishing.com.

All ads are FREE. We want to provide the industry with a way to connect with each other, so we can all help each other out!

If you'd like us to remove your ad, just send an email letting us know. Ads are typically removed when the event is over - if you'd like us to repost yours, please send an email and we will put it back up.

Requests are listed below in chronological order. Ongoing events are listed at the bottom of the page.

Go…Crop!!! (new crop every 3 weeks)

Expected attendance: 40

We are asking for any scrapbooking company, manufacturer, monthly club, online store or local scrapbook store interested, to dontate items for each attendee’s goodie bags or for hourly drawing / giveaways. In return, you will be listed on our website as a sponsor of our crops, with your website information. (Check out our LONG list of sponsors at http://www.gocrop.com/monthlycrops.htm)You will also be able to place flyers, business cards or coupons in each of the attendee’s bags and be listed as a sponsor on the handout that each scrapper receives. This should generate more business for our fellow retailers. Due to the popular and overwhelming response to our crops, we have increased our attendee numbers to 40 croppers.

Each scrapper has the luxury of spreading their supplies amongst their very OWN 6 FOOT TABLE. This has by far “wowed” the attendees. They have also been so impressed with the fabulous giveaways we have received in the past. Whether it is embellishments, paper, free subscriptions to a monthly kit club or magazine, gift certificates, ribbon/fiber, or discounts on products, they are thrilled at each crop to see what the scrapbooking companies have donated.

Please feel free to address any questions to lisa@gocrop.com or call us at 480.515.1864

We just ask that any donations please be received at least a few days before the event, so we can get you listed on our website and in our program of sponsors that each attendee receives.

Please send any donations to this address to keep our inventory separate:

All with Attention to Detail.  In the past I have received product to do a make and take and have freely passed out any information the company sends me.  I have also had requests for companies to send someone out to one of the weekends to do a class for a couple of hours for my guests.  Thanks for your help in advance. You can contact me through my web site's e-mail.  Laura

Scrap Camp Weekend Retreats
www.ScrapCamp.com
West Virginia

We are in need of products to be given away as door prizes. We will be giving out door prizes throughout the weekend.

We are also in need of sponsors for some of our camp scrapbook classes. The sponsor would provide product for the class and we provide the teacher....unless you would like to send a teacher as well!

As a sponsor, you would be featured in our program that will be given to all attendees of this event. We would be more than happy to include any ad free of charge if you would prefer that to a basic listing. Because we are using a very aggressive advertising campaign utilizing print media, website and web postings, your company will receive wide exposure of your sponsorship.

12-Hour Crops Every Three Months
Mount Vernon, WA

Every three months, I host a 12 hour marathon at our local Community Hall. This is advertised and set up through our small town Parks and Rec. Dept. However, because I get the majority of the profits, I am responsible for compiling the prize packages, goody bags, class kits, and food. Obviously, this gets expensive.

What I'm looking for is any big or small manufacturer that would love the advertising, who would be willing to donate materials for the goody bags or prize drawings.

I will gladly advertise your name in the registration sheets and all paraphenalia that I use in the workshop.

Let me know if you are interested: dwalser@gte.net or my home address: 18475 Burkland Rd, Mount Vernon, WA 98274

Thanks for your time,
Lori Walser

12-hour crop parties
Mid-Michigan
Attendance: 60

I organize 12-hour crop parties in the Mid-Michigan area. Scrapbooking is just becoming big in this area and these scrappers are hungry for new products and ideas to add to their memories. I limit each crop to 60 people to keep it manageable and people sit on the waiting list for any spots that might open up.

Each attendee is issued a welcome packet and I have several drawings for door prizes throughout the day with one large prize given away at the end of the day. Please e-mail me at brit@ejourney.com for more information about how you can donate to these crops and what you will receive in return for your donation.

Thank you,
Carol Hoag, Carol's Crops

The Memory Store Crop Days
Every Two Months
Christchurch, New Zealand

I own a small scrapbooking business in Christchurch, New Zealand. Every two months we hire out the Conference Room at a local Hotel and hold our Crop Day. Numbers are usually limited to a maximum of 30 ladies (due to the size of the venue). It's a fun day of 12 hours of scrapbooking with prizes for the best page of the day and prizes for the best categories. I give away hourly prizes and spot prizes as well. It's a great day.

Each lady receives a "goodie bag" on arrival. It's a great chance for the ladies to receive samples of new products etc.

If your company would be prepared to sponsor our Crop Days in any way by the donation of prizes that would be very much appreciated. Of course it goes without saying that I would add your company's name as a sponsor for prizes in the ladies "goodie bags" as well as when advertising the upcoming events.

Any donation would be gratefully accepted.

Regards,
Sandra Fuller

Monthly Events
Elmira, NY

I am the owner of a Scrapbook Consultant business in Elmira, NY. I hold monthly events at our local community center. During these events I teach various classes. I am seeking donations for these classes as well as my Scrapbook Bingo events. I hold quarterly (by popular demand) Scrapbook Bingo events as well as privately booked Scrapbook Bingo parties. At these events, people receive Scrapbook supplies, material, idea books, etc. for the Bingo prizes. This is a great, fun-filled event. I can be contacted by e-mail at ascrapbookstudio@juno.com, or by phone at (607)735-0249 (ask for Amy).

Adults With Mental Illness Club
Trail, BC

Looking for donations of scrapbooking supplies and card making supplies for an Adults With Mental Illness Club in Trail, BC. (I do have a US mail box for those afraid of the rising shipping costs!) These adults will be making greeting cards and layouts from these supplies. Hopefully, these cards can be sold around the area to increase the miniscule allotment these folks receive, or the even more miniscule allotment that the program receives!

The Friends of Friends Club House is a regular house, open to individuals who have nowhere else to go during the day. It is well heated in the winter, nicely air conditioned in the summer; many of our members are unable to provide this level of comfort in their own dwellings. Some of the items the Club House offers; free coffee, Twice-weekly low-cost meals, television, books, clothing swap, exercise machines, pool table, computer use, and a comfortable living room environment in which to visit with others. To those without a consistent address, the Club House offers to receive their mail and provide a "residence" for job hunting and banking use.

We could currently use: Paper and die-cuts, Xyron 850 refills (Yes, we have a machine), punches/punchies, stickers, adhesives, nice writing pens, etc. If you can help us provide a skill-building, confidence-boosting class to these adults, please contact me at: ScrappinCat@Shaw.Ca
Thank You! :)Gina
