Turn Your (Or Your Clients') Handwriting Into a Font!

If you create custom scrapbooks for others as a business, you might have run into the journaling problem. This occurs when you're at your client consultation and you reach the point when the two of you discuss journaling, arguably the most important part of the album.

Who does it? Do they do it? Do you do it? We know that it's important to stress to the client that they do it themselves, but sometimes they just don't want to. Perhaps they feel they won't know what to say, or they simply don't have time (after all, that was probably one of the reasons they hired you in the first place).

If this is the case, encourage them to use your additional journaling service - but with the client's own handwriting. How can this be accomplished? By turning the client's handwriting into a font!

It's simple - ask the client to provide you with a sample of their handwriting. Take that sample and hire a service that will turn it into a font. Then, when you sit down to do the journaling, you'll be able to easily create it on your computer. Your client will be thrilled that the album looks like it was actually done in their handwriting! (Obviously, you should charge extra for this.)

I have found a wonderful service that can turn anyone's handwriting into a font. (You might even want to pick one up of your own!) They are accurate, with fast turnaround time, and very reasonable prices. And the owner, Graham, is great to work with! Check them out here.
